Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage

Hyatt Centric Melbourne is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Venues Manager and Restaurant Manager in the smooth and efficient operation of Langlands' Restaurant & Bar, Events, and In-Room Dining.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run and manage shifts in all outlets as required; buffet breakfast service, lunch and dinner a la carte, and events
  • Focus on guests and team member satisfaction and constantly look for ways to improve the guest and team member experience via feedback channels
  • Assist with the onboarding, training, and development of team members, and implementation of training programs
  • Monitor promotional tracking and reporting in a timely manner
  • Ensure guest complaints are handled and communicated in a timely and satisfactory manner
Requirements:
  • Previous proven managerial experience in a premium restaurant or 5-star hotel
  • A current Victorian RSA Certificate
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, train, and motivate team members
  • A true foodie, with sound Victorian product knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement learning and development strategies and programs
  • The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
