Project Accountant Role

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized financial professional to oversee the management of project finances. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive financial support to ensure the successful execution of projects.

  • Establish and manage monthly financial reporting, forecasts, and budgets to inform project decisions.
  • Develop revenue recognition strategies in accordance with industry standards.
  • Review and validate estimate to complete on each task to ensure accuracy.
  • Monthly completion of variance analysis reports (VARs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a summary of all project orders for a comprehensive financial overview.
  • Manage financial reporting requirements of stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for 'fee at risk.'
  • Generate invoices to facilitate timely payments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal and external customers.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines such as commerce or accounting.
  • Experience in project financial principles, including earned value management, project accounting, cost estimation processes, and profit-sharing mechanisms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
