This is a key leadership role responsible for driving sustainable growth, ensuring robust regulatory compliance and supporting economic development initiatives that deliver positive outcomes for the community.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic leader to help shape Narrabri's future through planning, compliance and economic development. As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will lead a diverse portfolio including:

  • Statutory and Strategic Planning
  • Regulatory and Compliance Services
  • Economic Development

You will be accountable for ensuring statutory processes are timely and solutions-focused, building trusted relationships with stakeholders and delivering outcomes aligned with Council's objectives. A sound understanding of the legislative, social and political frameworks in which NSW local government operates is critical.

You will play a central role in major initiatives such as the activation of industrial port precincts and facilitating residential growth projects to build the future of our Shire. This is an opportunity for a visionary leader to make a tangible impact while fostering a workplace culture grounded in integrity, unity and trust.
