About the Role

The Governance Lead is a key position within our organization, responsible for providing strategic insight, building capability, and designing frameworks to support informed decision-making.

This role plays a vital part in promoting good governance practices, ensuring effective processes, and adhering to stringent legislation and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for organizational governance to achieve business outcomes.
  • Designing and implementing policies, tools, and techniques in areas including policy development, ethical conduct, and legislative compliance.
  • Providing expert advice on statutory, policy, and governance-related matters to stakeholders.
  • Leading improvements to delegations of authority frameworks, processes, and systems.
  • Coordinating annual pecuniary interest returns by designated persons.

This role requires a degree-level qualification in a business-related field, or equivalent relevant experience and training. Essential skills include report writing, policy development, and knowledge of relevant legislation.

A working knowledge of meeting procedures and operating in a publicly accountable environment is advantageous.
