The Role

We are looking for a skilled Distribution Design Engineer to join our Customer Connection Services Team within our Asset Operations Function. As a Distribution Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in engaging with customers, understanding their requests, and undertaking relevant engineering activities and technical network assessments to ensure a safe and compliant connection is achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Produce and/or check designs and estimates for projects encompassing materials, labour, sub-contract services, and costing for work associated with the Distribution Network.
  2. Undertake engineering investigations and participate in process improvements.
  3. Provide technical support across other work groups.
  4. Identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  5. Document variations to procedures, programmes, and processes.

Requirements

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Eligible for corporate membership of The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
  3. At least 4 – 6 years demonstrated engineering experience, preferably in an electrical utility.
  4. Sound knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and procedures preferably within a Distribution network environment.
  5. Interaction with others requires understanding, influencing, and supporting people, through applying technical knowledge or rational arguments.
