Job Title: Project Design Engineer - MV/LV Distribution Power Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Design Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a Project Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting electrical design activities, including preparing cable schedules, secondary system design for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear, and integration of primary systems inside Outdoor Enclosures and Switchrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of electrical design activities, including preparing cable schedules and secondary system design for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear.
  • Complete designs for small to medium complexity projects with successful outcomes for both the client and company.
  • Undergo the design process for projects using our well-developed customer project process, whilst delivering high quality outcomes for our customers.
  • Provide technical expertise during all phases of the project lifecycle (selling stages, execution phase, closure of project).
  • Identify and manage technical risks and make necessary reporting.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders effectively to deliver a quality design as per client expectations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a similar role.
  • Project engineering experience, with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes to customers and stakeholders.
  • Well-honed organisational and time management skills, complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IEC & AC standards (e.g., AS, AS, AS.2, AS.3, etc.).
  • A highly driven and confident professional who wants to work for a values-based organization whose solutions are leading edge.
  • Focused, collaborative and passionate about the work that you do.
  • Curious and passionate about technology, and have experience in the energy management industry.
