Job Description:

As a key member of the Corporate and Institutional Banking Markets team, you will play a vital role in driving first-line risk management to ensure a safe and secure bank for our customers.

The Associate Director Divisional Controls - Markets role is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, utilizing expertise in risk, controls, and obligations management.

You will showcase your passion for providing pivotal Divisional Controls support to the business, working closely with stakeholders to implement effective controls and manage risk.

In this role, you will:

Identify control gaps and weaknesses, implementing automated and preventative controls.

Monitor trends and manage risk in the Business, advising on control self-assessments.

Manage activities to ensure core metrics are within threshold and work with Controls Performance to test controls effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business's operational risk profile.
  2. Implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address control gaps.
  4. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in risk management and compliance disciplines or Global Markets expertise.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, time management, and analytical skills.
