We are seeking a Fire Safety Officer to join our team. As a Fire Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland through effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as a member of a team.">
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.">
  • Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by QFES.">
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.">
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.">
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.">
  • Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.">
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.">

To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Eligible to apply for or hold a current Blue Card.">
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).">
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station.">
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.">
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.">
