Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Events Operations Technician to join our Building Services team at Melbourne & Olympic Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities during events, providing technical support, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for events-related issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs and potential hazards.
  • Respond promptly to technical emergencies, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
  • Keep records of maintenance activities, technical issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to address maintenance needs promptly and contribute to creating a safe environment.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication of technical information and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Organisational skills for task and inventory management, with attention to detail in documentation and procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, handle emergencies, and work varied hours.
  • Proficiency in maintenance tools and equipment, along with a thorough understanding of OH&S practices and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using technology for maintaining electronic records.
  • First Aid certification.
