Accountant Role

The Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of an organization. This position is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to support strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Preparing quarterly consolidated management accounts.
  • Developing reports explaining operational performance, aligning with profitability goals.
  • Monitoring tax compliance and acting as a liaison with external advisors.
  • Aiding in accounting policy development and internal controls implementation.
  • Assisting in budget preparation and conducting variance analysis.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification or significant progress towards one.
  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities.
Relationships

You will have key relationships with:

  • Senior Management: To provide timely financial information and support decision making.
  • Finance Team: To lead and mentor colleagues, maintaining workflow and meeting reporting deadlines.
  • External Advisors: To collaborate in external account preparation and other activities.
