We are seeking two dedicated professionals to join our team within the Nation Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program.

The roles involve managing recruitment processes, ensuring our workforce is equipped, and providing advice on HR management issues. As an AO4 HR Advisor Workforce Planning, you will coordinate a high volume of recruitment and selection activities for diverse staffing mix, including permanent and temporary employees and contingent labor. You will also manage job advertisements via QLD Government request to hire platform, conduct pre-employment checks, finalise recruitment processes in Springboard, maintain updated organisational charts and establishment spreadsheets, handle onboarding functions, and produce reports from departmental systems to support decision-making processes.

As an A05 HR Advisor Operational, you will provide practical advice to internal clients on HR management issues, support the Principal HR Officer in managing employee complaints, grievances, conduct, and performance matters, produce reports and provide recommendations for best practice HR management, advise leaders on HR issues, balancing employee and organisational interests, prepare correspondence and documentation on various HR issues for internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in these roles, you will need:

  • Experience in completing scribing and minute-taking functions, with the ability to record detailed notes during discussions;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word;
  • Must have full Australian working rights;
  • Be able to pass and maintain a clear police check;

The ideal candidate for the AO5 role will also possess extensive HR experience in a large multidisciplinary environment, knowledge of relevant industrial Acts, Awards, and frameworks, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
