We are seeking a motivated and experienced Administrative Professional to join our team as a Parish Coordinator. This is a full-time opportunity to contribute meaningfully to parish life in a supportive, community-focused environment.

About the Role
  • This role is central to the daily life of the parish, ensuring smooth administrative, pastoral, and operational functions in collaboration with the Parish Priest and parish team.
  • The successful candidate will oversee daily parish office operations and administration, provide support to the Parish Priest and parish staff, and coordinate sacramental and liturgical program administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage parish records, compliance documentation, and reporting.
  2. Liaise with parishioners, volunteers, and community members.
  3. Assist the Parish Priest in the preparation and coordination of funerals and weddings.
  4. Organise meetings, rosters, and parish events.
  5. Manage correspondence, newsletters, and parish communications.
  6. Oversee suppliers, contractors, and general office requirements.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Completion of, or willingness to undertake, theological studies/certification.
  • Ability to learn parish systems (e.g. Flocknote).
  • Blue Card (Working with Children) or willingness to obtain.
  • Police Check or willingness to obtain.
