Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering clinical services to clients, ensuring a consistently high standard of care.
  • Provide administrative support, including servicing clients, collecting referrals, and ordering equipment.
  • Transport clients to and from therapy sessions, set up and pack away equipment, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Run exercise groups and programs, and support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
  • Consult with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to adapt treatment plans and progress client care.
  • Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent qualification.
  • Australian working rights and willingness to obtain NDIS worker screening and National Police Check.
  • Healthcare knowledge, time management, and accountability skills.
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
