Housing Support Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to fill the role of Housing Support Specialist. This is a critical position that requires a skilled individual to provide support to residents in need.

Job Description:

  • Supporting Residents: Provide basic life skills training, conduct individual counselling sessions, and advocate for residents' needs.
  • Daily Operations: Assist with resident support plan development, perform wellness checks, distribute harm reduction supplies, and engage with residents to provide the best possible support.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration in providing services.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in a related human/social service field.
  • Experience: Minimum one year recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Skill Set: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills, with ability to work independently and show initiative and creativity.

This is a full-time position working three 12-hour shifts per week. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
