Operational Leadership Opportunity

Taking charge of daily operations for a respected commercial cleaning company is your chance to guide it through its next big growth phase.

This role involves working directly with the Managing Director to turn the strategic vision into real-world results.

You'll lead all aspects of daily operations — from service delivery and team management to financial performance and compliance.

Your mission is to build strong systems and an accountable team culture that can support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities include leading tender processes, managing operational budgets, driving margin improvements, and reporting financial performance to senior management.

The salary band for this role ranges from $165,000 to $185,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements
  • Significant senior operational leadership experience in a multi-site, service-based business (cleaning, facilities, trades, NDIS preferred)
  • Strong financial management skills — budgeting, P&L, and margin improvement
  • Experience leading and developing mid-level managers and diverse teams
  • Track record of scaling operations while maintaining quality and profitability
  • Experience working with remote/offshore teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on involvement with strategic leadership
ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence

Purpose: Ensure seamless, efficient operations across all sites.

  • Lead daily operations across multiple locations
  • Maintain service quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction
  • Implement and refine workflows for productivity
  • Align operational activity to growth and profitability goals
Strategic Growth & Tender Management

Purpose: Secure profitable, large-scale contracts that drive business growth.

  • Lead tender processes for contracts over $200K
  • Ensure compliance and competitive positioning
  • Oversee operational readiness for new contract delivery
  • Monitor tender pipeline and success rates
Financial Targeting

Purpose: Meet financial targets through careful planning and control.

  • Prepare and manage operational budgets
  • Review and act on monthly P&L
  • Drive margin improvements and cost efficiencies
  • Report financial performance to senior management
Team Management, Development & Engagement

Purpose: Build a high-performing, accountable leadership team.

  • Lead Ops Manager, Admin/Finance Lead, Area Managers, and Sales team (until Sales Manager is appointed)
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent
  • Embed performance management and accountability
  • Foster a positive, results-driven culture
Service Delivery

Purpose: Deliver consistent, high-quality services to clients.

  • Oversee service standards and quality control
  • Support MD on major client relationships
  • Integrate new business into operations smoothly
Remote & Offshore Team Integration

Purpose: Prepare for and lead offshore workforce components.

  • Manage and integrate offshore/remote team members
  • Establish communication and performance frameworks
  • Maintain cultural alignment across all teams
