Senior Inspector Leader

The Manager, Specialist Inspections is a dynamic and challenging permanent opportunity.
This role manages a highly experienced team of field-based multidisciplinary building and plumbing inspectors focused on complex and/or specialized cases.
- Lead and develop a team of technical specialists who undertake field-based activities to support the VBA's regulatory requirements.
- Provide specialist support to focus areas and ensure the team functions effectively to support the VBA's response to government policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a geographically dispersed team of Plumbing and Building Inspectors performing audit and inspections.
- Conducting site inspections and audits in a regulatory environment, including Class 2 apartment buildings.
- Producing high-level technical correspondence, briefs, and reports in line with relevant legislation.
- Participating in working groups to provide authoritative technical advice and knowledge to influence regulatory reform.
We are seeking a seasoned people leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing teams of geographically dispersed field-based inspectors.
