Lead Water Infrastructure Drafter, Melbourne

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Drafter to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of KBR's Water team, you will contribute to significant water infrastructure projects through strong partnerships with water authorities.
Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for using 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications to develop and record designs as models and drawings. You will evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate that into the model or drawing.
You will also assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys. This includes infrastructure, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater and drainage, pumping, piping and pipelines, chemical storage and dosing, minor structural and civil elements.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate it into the model or drawing.
- Use 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications to develop and record designs as models and drawings.
- Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys.
We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in the practice of drafting and design in the general mechanical/process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD. You should have demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and market sector.
Additionally, you should possess effective communication skills (verbal and written), and have an Associate degree, Diploma, Associate Diploma of Design or Engineering or similar para-professional level qualification, or equivalent experience.
