Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Drafter, Water Pipelines to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Water discipline, you will contribute to significant water infrastructure projects through our strong partnerships with water authorities.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity to work with our diverse, flexible, and adaptable team of over 1000 professionals who provide a wide range of professional consulting services to the private and public sector. You will be responsible for using 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications to develop and record designs as models and drawings.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate that into the model or drawing.
  2. Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys.
  3. Deal one on one and facilitate group discussions to foster collaboration required to create an environment for individuals to achieve optimum design performance.

Requirements

  • An associate degree, diploma, associate diploma of design or engineering, or similar para-professional level qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous consulting/design/technical experience on water infrastructure and linear pipeline design as a designer.
  • Extensive experience in the practice of drafting and design in the general mechanical/process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and market sector.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Estimated Salary Range: AU$110,000 - AU$140,000 per annum
