We are seeking a Senior Starship Engineer to lead the design and development of primary and secondary structures for reusable spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design criteria and standards for structural components, including materials selection and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize designs and assess their performance under various loads and conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural components into the overall spacecraft system, balancing performance, weight, and cost considerations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, with a focus on structural systems and FEA.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical first principles, structural analysis methodologies, and materials science.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or Excel, with experience in scientific computing and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
