Overview of the Role
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team as a Senior Launch Pad Engineer. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to design, build, and activate a second orbital launch pad and associated infrastructure for the Starship rocket.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and structural engineering, as well as experience with project management and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead project teams and collaborate with engineers and contractors throughout the civil and structural engineering process.
- Develop and issue technical drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace projects.
- Perform complex calculations for steel and concrete designs, including structural analysis and modeling.
- Manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines.
- Conduct on-site inspections and field observations to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in civil or structural design, analysis, construction, and drafting.
- Experience with structural detail drawings and analysis software.
- Professional Engineering (PE) or Structural Engineering (SE) license.
