Launch Pad Engineer

We are developing the technologies to make humanity's exploration of the stars possible, with the goal of enabling human life on Mars.

The Launch Pad team is responsible for designing and building a second orbital launch pad and ancillary infrastructure that will further enable orbital launch capability for Starship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project team through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Develop and issue design documentation and reports for aerospace projects
  • Perform structural design and analysis calculations for steel and concrete structures
  • Manage construction contracts and ensure timely completion
  • Provide onsite engineering inspections and resolve conflicts in real-time
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • 1+ years of professional experience in design and construction
Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated quick thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical engineering
  • Experience creating structural detail drawings and analyzing software
  • Professional Engineering (PE) or Structural Engineering (SE) license
