Transport Operations Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Supervisor to lead our Dyno Team. This is a fantastic chance for someone who wants to make a real difference in the logistics and transport industry.

This role involves leading a team of drivers and managing day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and safe transportation of goods. As a Transport Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading teams, developing schedules and rosters, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of drivers to achieve safe and efficient transportation of goods
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and training sessions to enhance staff knowledge and skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leadership and team management
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the logistics and transport industry

About You:

  • 5+ years' experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Ability to use optimisation techniques for scheduling, rostering, and asset and labour utilisation
  • Understanding of safety and compliance practices and regulations in logistics industry including chain of responsibility
