Logistics Operations Manager

Join a leading entertainment hub as the Event Logistics Supervisor in Brisbane.

This pivotal role will shape the success of our event logistics operations at The Star Brisbane, a transformative project that has brought excitement and anticipation to the city. The Events Logistics Supervisor position is a hands-on role which will assist in the effective running of the logistics team in our Event Centre.

The supervisor will provide engaging and high-quality guest service, coordinate team members to maintain the service flow and performance standards of the outlet, operate a forklift and manual pallet jacket, and complete physical tasks such as unloading stock or equipment.

• Report all faults, repairs and maintenance requirements in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to the business
• Supervise the Logistics team members and assist the Management team with the training & development of the team
• Ensure an open line of communication at all times through daily shift briefings, and ensure a smooth transition and handover between all shifts
• Encourage a positive working relationship between Food and Beverage outlets and other departments within the company

About You:

You will have previous experience in leading a team, preferably with proven experience in events or logistics. Your inspiring leadership and exceptional communication skills enable you to create a positive working relationship between departments within the company. Driven by challenges and passionate about Events, you are a dedicated problem-solver with a commitment to developing your team.

A key responsibility of this role is to supervise the Logistics team members and assist the Management team with the training and development of the team. You will be comfortable in operating a forklift, manual pallet jacket, and be able to complete physical tasks such as unloading stock or equipment.
