The role of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This position description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the Role

This fast-paced and interesting role offers you the opportunity to utilise your experience in Defence and contribute positively to the safety and security of all personnel on base. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing customer service of the highest quality through your proactive, professional and sound approach.

  • Observe activities associated with asset protection;
  • Monitor CCTV footage and radio communication systems;
  • Provide first aid and liaise with Police and Emergency Response Services;
  • Review camera footage and write reports;
  • Conduct foot patrols throughout the premises.

Requirements

  • Certificate II in Security Operations and security licence;
  • First Aid and CPR certificate;
  • Open driver's license;
  • Customer service experience;
  • Experience in monitoring a CCTV network.
