This is a full-time, ongoing role based in Canberra, and the successful candidate will play a key part in leading a comprehensive suite of strategic, targeted, and impactful engagement activities across the Academy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strong and innovative engagement strategy in alignment with the Academy's strategic mission to disseminate scientific knowledge for the greater good.
  • Drive significant stakeholder engagement, contributing to the Academy's ability to shape and influence science, scientific advice in Australia and abroad.
  • Work closely with the Council and Secretariat to extend and build upon the Academy's standing, reach, and influence, both nationally and internationally.
  • Build and maintain robust, productive, and enduring relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including media, research, government, corporate, and philanthropic networks.
  • Develop and implement effective public affairs and communication initiatives to promote the Academy's work and influence.
