Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for managing and leading construction projects from a contractor's standpoint. Your expertise will include budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources, and reviewing priorities.

You will need to manage labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors within budget and time constraints. This includes undertaking various contract management activities, such as client liaison, procurement of building materials, and implementing project management systems according to regulations and processes.

Key responsibilities also include submitting reports and providing information to management within set timeframes, training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes, and contributing to the estimating process for bids or offers.

Requirements:

  • A Building Trade Qualification and current open/valid driver's license are mandatory;
  • Post-Trade Project Management courses and/or QBCC Licence are advantageous;
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Australian Building Code Technical Specifications;
  • Working knowledge of project management packages, including MYOB Advanced Construction, Autodesk Construction, Premier, Expert Project, Contractor Foreman, InEight, Fieldwire, Buildxact, Procore, or similar;
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and computer literacy skills;
  • Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment.

Location and Working Hours:

The proposed hours are nominally 38 per week, with some longer hours and weekend work possible. The role may involve working in regional or remote locations, depending on requirements.
