Business Trainee Role

This is an exciting opportunity for young people to gain valuable work experience and skills while completing a nationally recognised qualification. On the job training plus study, mentoring and support are provided.

Youth Employment Scheme (YES)

The Youth Employment Scheme (YES) provides young people aged 15 to 29 with a 12-month entry-level opportunity to work in the Victorian Public Service while completing accredited training. To be eligible, you must be:

  • aged 15 to 29 years when you start the traineeship
  • unemployed or working less than 15 hours per week
  • not currently undertaking tertiary education
  • without a post-school qualification (excluding Certificate I-IV courses)
About the Role

Our organisation provides on the job training for 12 months, including mentorship and support. The benefits of joining us include:

Main Responsibilities

Undertake various duties to support the business area, develop and maintain positive relations with internal and external stakeholders, and undertake administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone who is committed to a 12 month Traineeship, has strong customer service skills, and is methodical and organised in their approach to work.

Key Requirements

We require someone who is proactive, reliable, and has excellent communication skills. You should have a passion for learning and development, and be eager to take on new challenges.

Apart from the above requirements, we also expect you to have a positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability in your approach to work.
