Control Risks is a leading provider of security risk management and design solutions. Our team has decades of experience delivering security consulting services for projects worldwide, including luxury residential complexes, hotels, high-rise towers, mixed-use developments, and critical infrastructure.

We are seeking a skilled security professional to join our expanding Crisis and Security Consulting practice in Australia Pacific. The Security Design Consultant will support and contribute to the delivery and growth of Control Risks' Security Design Practice across Australia and New Zealand. The role will involve working on various security design-led projects across the region, providing support to our design team with design deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project plans and traveling to client sites as necessary.
  • Attending weekly meetings with project stakeholders and minutes actions related to our discipline.
  • Delivering security design consultancy assignments, ranging from simple to complex tasks.
  • Drafting design stage documents, such as technical specification documents and tender evaluation reports.
  • Staying up-to-date with advances in security technology.
  • Completing assigned tasks within given time frames.
  • Attending onsite inspections and testing & commissioning.
  • Contributing to identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years' experience as a security design professional or in a related field.
  • Ability to work with CAD 2D to deliver design layouts that meet our internal standards.
  • Sound understanding of design engineering elements.
  • Proven track record of successful security design consultancy projects, preferably in Asia or similar environments.
  • Good understanding of project design stages, including RIBA design stages.
  • Knowledge and experience in design and implementation of integrated electronic security systems and physical security measures.

Essential qualifications and specialist skills:

  • Engineering degree in electronics and electrical engineering or communications.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.
  • Good skills in working with project management tools.
  • Strong commercial expertise, analytical, leadership, and client management skills.
