Security Design Consultant Opportunity

Control Risks is a leading provider of security risk management and design solutions. We are seeking a competent and experienced security professional to join our expanding Crisis and Security Consulting practice in Australia Pacific (Auspac).

The Security Design Consultant will support and contribute to the delivery and growth of Control Risks' Security Design Practice across Australia and New Zealand. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing project plans and delivering security design consultancy assignments.
  • Attending weekly meetings with project stakeholders and drafting design stage documents.
  • Keeping abreast with advances in security technology and completing assigned tasks within given time frames.
  • Conducting onsite inspections and testing & commissioning.
  • Contributing to identifying new opportunities and developing proposals.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of five years' experience as a security design professional or in a related field.
  • Capable of working with CAD 2D to deliver design layouts that match internal standards.
  • A sound understanding of design engineering elements and a proven track record of successful security design consultancy projects.
  • Good knowledge and experience in design and implementation of integrated electronic security systems and physical security measures.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in electronics and electrical engineering / communications.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.
  • Good skills in working with project management tools.
  • Strong commercial expertise, analytical, leadership, and client management skills.
