About the Role

As a Palliative Care Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering exceptional palliative care services across BaptistCare residential homes. Your expertise will guide staff in providing compassionate support to residents and their families, ensuring that each individual receives tailored care that respects their dignity and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Palliative Care Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight of palliative care services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to palliative care, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Clinical Education: Design and deliver education programs for staff, focusing on palliative care best practices and evidence-based approaches.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to palliative care standards and identify areas for improvement.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing, with postgraduate studies in Palliative Care.
  • At least 5 years of experience in aged care, including operational roles in residential aged care facilities.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on building palliative care expertise among team members.
  • Sound understanding of aged care regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
