About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Palliative Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert clinical nursing care to patients with palliative care needs, including symptom management and end-of-life care.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • To educate and support staff on palliative care principles and practices.
  • To participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in palliative care or a related field.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of nursing practice in palliative care, including expertise in pain and symptom management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
