Advanced Palliative Care Nurse Specialist

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Palliative Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide expert clinical nursing care to patients with palliative care needs, including symptom management and end-of-life care.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- To educate and support staff on palliative care principles and practices.
- To participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in palliative care or a related field.
- Demonstrated advanced level of nursing practice in palliative care, including expertise in pain and symptom management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
