Medical Oncology/Palliative Care Ward Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Caregiving Specialist to join our Medical Oncology/Palliative Care Ward at Northern Beaches Hospital. This ward, Ward 6C, is a 30-bed public medical ward primarily caring for oncology patients and those requiring end-of-life care. Our staff strive to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care, and we are looking for individuals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Requirements
  • A Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA registration.
  • A Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, being proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a high-functioning team.
  • A passion for delivering quality patient-centered care.
  • Flexibility with shift allocations and a commitment to working a rotating roster, which includes 12-hour and 8-hour shifts.
