Cumberland City Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graduate Landscape Architect to join our Public Spaces Design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to transition into a career in landscape architecture.

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented individual to assist with designing sustainable, fit for purpose open space and facilities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of landscape architecture, from design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and development of public spaces and facilities.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and plans.
  • Conduct site visits and gather data to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects that meet community needs.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of best practices in landscape architecture.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in landscape architecture or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Class C drivers license.
