Lead Freight Driver

Australia-wide fragile freight transport company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced driver to lead their Sydney team in a permanent leadership role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in deliveries/loading trucks/preparation of orders
- Ensuring best practice is followed for loading and unloading containers and trucks
- Leading training of new drivers, maintaining high standards on the driving team
- Working with the Despatch Manager to manage fleet maintenance and dock maintenance
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of an MR Licence (HR Licence highly regarded)
- Licence/Certification: MR or HR Drivers Licence (required), LF Forklift ticket (preferred)
- Good health and fitness level
- Be a team player with good communication skills, basic computer skills
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience in fragile freight or furniture is highly regarded
The successful applicant will be remunerated according to their experience and will enjoy flexible employment options including salary, full-time, permanent part-time arrangements. Flexible hours are available.
