Role Summary

The primary responsibility of the Team Lead is to oversee and support a team of Senior Analysts and Consultants within the Fund Accounting team. Reporting to the Team Manager, the Team Lead plays a crucial role in workflow distribution and maximizing the effectiveness of the team.

Key responsibilities include organizing the work of the team, assigning tasks, setting short-term priorities, monitoring all activities, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of work. Additionally, the Team Lead is responsible for conducting performance management and career development processes, as well as staffing and disciplinary actions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for workflow distribution and the effective use of resources within the team.
  2. Ensure accurate completion of NAVs across various Fund Accounting Clients.
  3. Provide on-the-job technical training and coaching for all team members and brief staff regularly on issues relating to work carried out by the team and new initiatives/investments restructures.
  4. Organize the work of the team, assign tasks, set short-term priorities, monitor all activities, and ensure timely and accurate completion of the work.
  5. Ensure all procedures are kept up to date and adhered to on a daily basis.
  6. Assist the Team Manager in establishing goals and objectives for the team.
  7. Generate process enhancement ideas and coordinate the introduction of these changes with supporting documented procedures.
  8. Participate and manage internal and external project initiatives as they arise.
  9. Manage new client onboardings along with the new onboarding team and internal operation teams.
  10. Conduct performance management and career development processes, as well as staffing and disciplinary actions.
About You

A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience is required. Experience in Fund Accounting is essential, and supervisory experience is desirable.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, with the ability to deal confidently and articulately with internal and external counterparties. Analytical and problem-solving skills are also necessary, as is leadership and organizational ability to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.

The ability to set priorities and manage deadlines, escalating issues where necessary, is crucial. A good team player, self-starter, flexible, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision are essential qualities for this role.
