**Sexual Assault Counsellor Role**
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Sexual Assault Counsellor to join our team in providing specialised therapeutic and counselling interventions for individuals, families and groups affected by sexual assault.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective therapies with individuals and groups, working within established policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and care.
Locations include Griffith, Young and Wagga Wagga, offering opportunities to work with diverse communities and populations.
Key RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant Australian standard qualification in a related field.
- Current Australian working rights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additionally, you should have a confident and conscious approach to working with clients, aligning with NSW Health Core values – Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
As a seasoned counsellor, you will possess excellent emotional intelligence, empathy and active listening skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
