Electrical Engineer Role

This position involves the maintenance and installation of electronic medical equipment across various imaging modalities in Western Australia.

The role requires strong relationships with both internal and external customers to drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Install electronic medical equipment in a high-quality, professional manner with strong attention to detail in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks in accordance with company guidelines, compliance standards, and customer specifications.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner, addressing technical issues and providing solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Ensure accurate completion of Field Modification Instructions (FMI's) within prescribed timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and customers to achieve solution-focused service outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with electronic systems in the medical industry is essential.
  • A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices is required.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in areas such as TCP/IP, WIFI, and medical networks are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with both internal and external customers.
  • A valid Australian driver's license is required.
Vaccination Requirements
  • In some locations, contractors may be required to provide evidence of vaccination for vaccine-preventable diseases prior to entering healthcare sites.
  • GE Healthcare has an EHS Medical Services Program in place, covering employees who enter sites to conduct work where there is potential exposure or acquisition of VPDs.
  • You may be required to provide evidence of current COVID-19 vaccination status and other VPD's as needed.
Desirable Skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and commit to continuous learning and skill improvement.
  • Familiarity with schematic diagrams and technical reference manuals is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving techniques are essential.
  • Experience working with computer networking systems is highly valued.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to achieving high work standards are expected.
