Job Title: Logistics Analyst - Transport

Visy Logistics is seeking a skilled Logistics Analyst - Transport to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of customer needs to determine transport requirements, including resource modelling, fleet planning, utilization, and equipment needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Cost / Benefit Analysis to optimize logistics operations.
  • Present modelling/analysis results in a clear and accurate manner to stakeholders.
  • Challenge existing models/solutions and provide feedback/alternatives to improve logistics efficiency.
  • Create documentation of assumptions and parameters used in modelling and analysis.
  • Develop innovative solutions for optimizing logistics operations, transportation, and supply chain management.
  • Perform detailed modelling and analysis to evaluate possible changes to existing or new transport solutions.
  • Conduct detailed analyses using simulation and optimization techniques to ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible and aligned with business objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that align with core product offerings and drive commercial viability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of analytical experience, ideally gained within the logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and data visualization software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with safety management systems/software platforms preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, reporting, and presentations.
