Senior Litigation Lawyer Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Litigation Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation across a range of areas, including prosecutions, administrative reviews, and litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, concise legal advice and representation to ensure effective administration of law by the organisation.
  • Undertake litigation and brief counsel where appropriate to ensure provision of effective legal representation on behalf of the organisation.
  • Analyse and interpret legislation and evidence; draft documents including advice, court pleadings, statement of facts, and submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence to facilitate appropriate legal outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders on legal aspects of breaches of legislation and on litigation of matters before the courts or tribunals and assist in developing and providing guidance or training material to business to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Admission as legal practitioner of Supreme Court of New South Wales and current practising certificate as solicitor.
  • 3-5 years relevant post qualification experience as litigator in one or more of following areas in either private, in-house corporate or government practice: Regulatory prosecutions, Criminal law, Consumer protection law, Building & construction law, Work Health and Safety law, Administrative law and NSW Court and tribunal practice and procedure.
