Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remedial Engineer/Consultant to lead diagnostic inspections, prepare detailed expert reports, and serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings related to building defects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct meticulous onsite diagnostic inspections and forensic investigations to identify building defects.
  • Prepare detailed Expert Reports to be used in legal proceedings.
  • Serve as an expert witness in court when builders dispute claims.
  • Manage contract administration for remedial work and liaise directly with clients and legal teams to provide professional advice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Remedial Building or Engineering Consultant.
  • Proven experience as an expert witness in litigation cases.
  • A strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and Home Building regulations is essential.
  • You must be a highly self-motivated and independent professional who takes full ownership of their work.
  • A valid driver's license and physical fitness to access all areas of a building are required.
