About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Media Lawyer to join our dynamic team at Seven West Media. As a key member of our regulatory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with broadcast regulations and driving sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage the broadcast regulatory compliance process, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Complaints Management: Oversee the management of viewer and audience complaints for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Sustainability Programs: Coordinate mandatory climate reporting and drive sustainability programs, including developing and writing the annual sustainability report.
  • Contractual Documents: Review, advise on, and draft various contractual documents.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the drafting of regulatory and policy submissions.
  • Compliance Training: Draft and coordinate company-wide compliance training.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide ad hoc support to the legal team as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Completed an undergraduate law degree.
  • Experience: 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong research skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to think creatively.
