We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cafe or Restaurant Manager and Head Chef/Ethnic Cuisine Specialist to join our team at Ms Minnie Pty Ltd.

About the Role

We are a modern Sri Lankan restaurant that prides itself on using local produce, modern cooking techniques, and the deep and rich flavours of our Sri Lankan heritage to bring you flavour-packed Sri Lankan food like you've never tasted before.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a busy front of house operation in a Sri Lankan restaurant.
  • Have not less than 1 year's experience as a waiter supervisor.
  • Experience in serving a variety of Rice and Curry dishes and popular Sri Lankan street food, especially Hoppers, String Hoppers, and other short eats.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and team.
  • Up-to-date with current Health and Safety regulations.
  • Supervise, guide, and train other F&B attendants.

Requirements

  • 1 year's experience with qualifications, 5 years without qualifications.
  • Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours.

Job Duties

  • Serve food and beverages as well as supervise other food and beverage attendants.
  • Prepare tables for meals, including the complete setup.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner and provide education about food and beverage menus, how menu items are prepared, the ingredients used, and different cooking methods.
  • Inform the customers of specials.
  • Check food and beverages for quality and presentation before serving to guests.
  • Take orders.
  • Prepare and serve beverages.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Menu planning.
  • Food shopping.
  • Recording food temperature.
  • Preparing reports.
