Freight Coordinator

  • Coordinate the movement of goods and materials to ensure timely delivery.
  • Load and unload freight from coaches and trailers, involving manual handling and physical exertion.
  • Process quotes, bookings, and payments for freight consignments in a efficient and accurate manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain computerized records for administration purposes, including tracking shipments and managing inventory.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives, providing general support as needed.

Key responsibilities include coordinating freight distribution, loading and unloading freight, processing quotes and bookings, providing customer service, responding to inquiries, maintaining records, and collaborating with the team.

About You
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a strong commitment to delivering results.
  • Hold a valid fork lift license, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Pass a national criminal history check prior to employment.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Present yourself professionally at all times, adhering to a high standard of dress and personal presentation.
  • Be reliable and flexible, with the ability to work varying shifts and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commit to providing exceptional service, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Possess intermediate skills in Microsoft products, with experience using relevant software applications.
  • Have a working knowledge of freight management systems and booking processes.
  • Be proactive and autonomous, able to work independently and make sound decisions.
