Logistics Coordinator Job Description

Intralox Australia Pty. Ltd. has a position available for a Logistics Specialist who will provide support for internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers, agents, and governmental agencies to ensure the logistics and compliance of shipments.

This role is based in the Melbourne Assembly Plant and will report to the Plant Manager Australia, New Zealand & India.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing carriers' pickup activities for domestic and export shipments to meet Customer ship date.

Additionally, the Logistics Specialist will work with international freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to ensure that all shipments reach their destination on-time and resolving any issues that may arise.

The Logistics Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring the correct Incoterms are used, working with other departments to ensure order ship dates are met and orders are prioritized, coordinating and monitoring all import /export documentation to certify legal compliance and providing import and export administration within governmental rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize carriers' pickup activities for domestic and export shipments to meet Customer ship date.

  • Ensure the correct Incoterms are used.
  • Work with other departments to ensure order ship dates are met and orders are prioritized.
  • Coordinate and monitor all import /export documentation to certify legal compliance and provide import and export administration within governmental rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Three years' work experience in a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to do multiple tasks and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or some another business discipline.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • Five to seven years' experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
