Lead Project Engineer - Groundwater Remediation

We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer to oversee the delivery of a complex groundwater remediation project at our operations.

This role offers a rare opportunity to drive environmental outcomes that align with long-term management, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project planning, coordination, and execution of the groundwater remediation project.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to meet key milestones.
  • Ensure fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with environmental remediation strategies.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, discipline leads, environmental specialists, and external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage contractor performance on-site and ensure all work is executed safely and to specification.
  • Report on project progress, risks, and controls to senior management.
  • Drive technical excellence while actively managing scope change, procurement activities, and quality assurance.
About You:
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with RPEQ (or working towards).
  • Proven experience in project delivery, ideally on infrastructure, civil, mechanical, or environmental remediation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, risk management, and contract execution.
  • Able to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance or remediation in a mining, industrial, or utility setting is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in large-scale pumping and piping projects is preferred.
