Compliance Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organization as a Compliance Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that the company's activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of the Quality Assurance and Compliance framework. You will work closely with various departments and utilize your leadership skills to support and empower the Compliance Team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating matters regarding behavioral and professional conduct.
  • Liaising with stakeholders regarding conduct issues.
  • Monitoring oversight of mentors and mentees.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for compliance advisors providing mentoring support and coaching.
  • Providing compliance support to brokers.
  • Completing reference checks for new brokers and separated brokers.
  • Performing ad-hoc project work expected of the Compliance Advisor.
  • Building effective relationships with members and staff to provide added value and timely responses to the business.

Reporting & Documentation - Core Activities

  • Maintaining Governance Registers.
  • Preparing reports regarding outcomes and recommendations from investigations.
  • Reviewing and providing input to policies and standards.
  • Preparing compliance reports as needed.
  • Reporting on any breaches observed or uncovered.
