Lead in Cancer Nursing

The role requires a passionate and experienced Conjoint Professor of Cancer Nursing to provide leadership in the field, enhancing Palliative, Aged and Chronic Care through Clinical Research and Translation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop collaborative education initiatives to strengthen cancer nursing across UTS and SESLHD.
  • Build capacity through integrated education, practice development, and mentoring.
  • Champion high-quality translational nursing research that drives improvements in clinical practice.
  • Engage with clinicians, government, consumers, and carers to address key challenges and foster a collegial culture.
About You:

A recognised leader in cancer nursing with a strong record of engagement and influence at national and international levels.

Proven senior leadership experience in complex healthcare environments, including expertise in practice development, workforce capability, and strategic service delivery.

A deep understanding of clinical practice and evolving models of care enables you to lead with insight and motivate others to achieve excellence.

You have a demonstrated ability to identify and incorporate emerging trends in nursing and advance the profession through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications include:

  • A PhD in cancer nursing or a related discipline.
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA.
  • A strong research and publication track record and ability to secure competitive research grants.
  • Experience in higher education teaching.
