About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team at Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel. As a key member of our hotel operations, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest service in rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team to deliver high-quality cleaning services, exceeding guest expectations and maintaining luxury standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure seamless operational flow.
  • Manage inventories of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, maintaining proper stock levels and controlling costs.
  • Create efficient cleaning schedules and staffing plans based on operational needs.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a positive work environment with high morale.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with guests, employees, and other departments under pressure.
  • Technologically savvy, competent using property management systems (PMS), microster, and other relevant tools that help streamline housekeeping operations.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and local health and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to manage housekeeping expenses, including labour, supplies, and equipment, ensuring operations are within budget.
  • Innovative, forward-thinking manager who can bring fresh ideas to improve service quality, increase productivity, or introduce sustainable practices.
