Project Planning Specialist - Renewable Energy

As a Project Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing projects within the renewable energy sector.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

  • Develop project plans and schedules for electrical utilities and renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project inputs and ensure accurate scheduling of milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing scheduling risks or deviations from the baseline.
  • Provide insightful schedule analysis to key stakeholders and contribute to project reviews.
  • Align schedules with overall project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts by identifying and communicating scheduling conflicts early.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience in a planning or project controls role on large-scale projects. Proven track record of working on high-value or technically complex projects in construction, renewables, or similar industries. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong technical skills, with proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring project milestones are met and progress is tracked effectively. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather project inputs and ensure accurate scheduling of milestones and deliverables. Track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing scheduling risks or deviations from the baseline.

Essential Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Desirable Skills: Experience working with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
