Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring wages are processed promptly and in line with all policies, awards, and legislation.

The role of the Payroll Specialist includes:

  • Processing payroll runs and off-cycle payments for assigned pay run groups
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing
  • Completing analytical checks and balances within the Time and Attendance and Payroll systems
  • Reviewing pay queries and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing employment changes, including new hires, terminations, position changes, salary changes, and inter-company transfers

About this role:

  • A sound understanding of the General Retail Industry Award is essential
  • Knowledge of relevant industry awards and legislation, such as LSL, ATO, and Superannuation guarantee regulations
  • Technical knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
